SUMMARY:EMBRACE Seminar: EMBRACE 4th Trimester-ICC Project Overview and Updates
DESCRIPTION:Join EMBRACE’s seminar series with Dr. Cynthia Salter who will present on EMBRACE 4th Trimester-ICC Project\, which aims to evaluate the effects of the current interconception care model on perinatal health outcomes. As one of the Principal Investigators for the EMBRACE 4th Trimester-ICC Project\, alongside Dr. Stacy Bartlett\, which aims to evaluate the effects of the current interconception care and/or 4th Trimester model on perinatal health outcomes\, this presentation will give an overview of the project and steps moving forward. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Cynthia Salter is an Assistant Professor in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh and serves as the Interim Director of the Pitt Center for Global Health and the Director of Faculty Development and Informatics at the Shadyside Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Salter specializes in using innovative research methods\, including mixed methods and qualitative approaches\, to study the factors that affect the health of birthing people. Her work focuses on how systems and community factors influence birth outcomes\, especially in the face of racial inequities.
