EMBRACE Summit

Vision
The afternoon of Day 3 invites community members, providers, and advocates to gather for a brief wellness session followed by a Reproductive Justice 101 training that includes a policy and advocacy session. This co-education will connect clinicians, researchers, and community members, equipping participants to activate a personal and professional mission to impact Black maternal health.

Objectives
Education and engagement rooted in principles of reproductive justice

  • Define and discuss health, reproductive health, and reproductive justice
  • Evaluate cultural competency and cultural humility
  • Determine how intersectionality influences social determinants of health
  • Develop individual and systemic policy and advocacy approaches to activate collaborations to improve Black maternal health outcomes
