A long-running partnership between the University of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and the City of Pittsburgh, the Western Pennsylvania Regional Data Center (WPRDC) has been sharing open data from their partners and publishers for nearly 10 years. WPRDC’s mission is to make local data publicly accessible, machine-readable, and free to use, modify, and share. WPRDC provides a shared technological and legal infrastructure to support research, analysis, decision-making, and community engagement through their efforts.
WPRDC along with EMBRACE’s Data Justice Working Group will discuss the coordination of data-related activities across local EMBRACE projects, research cores, and the national Data Innovation Hub.
